Current began 52 years ago in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Actually, Current got its start in the basement of the home of founders Orin and Miriam Loo. An artist and lithographer, Orin had opened a printing business called Looart Press, three years earlier.
Then in 1950, his wife, Miriam, had the idea of offering a line of paper products to non-profit groups to use in fund-raising activities. Together, the family printed greeting, Christmas, and recipe cards right in their home.
